It is true that most of the content shown on the news channels is highly negative and it is well known that it happens to be for the sake of TRP (television rating programs). I believe that there should be a balance between positive and negative news everything will be discussed both orally in upcoming paragraphs.

To commence with, it cannot be denied that there is stiff competition in every sector nowadays and the news industry is no different. To stay in the competition, news channels require more and more viewers. Because of the fact that the human mind is highly attracted to negative things, negative news such related to starvation, accidents, rape, Murder and other unwanted incidents are shown mostly on television. In short, the bad news is telecasted most since these attract people the most and lead to high viewer ratings.

Answering the second question, there must be a balance between good and bad news without any doubt. To explain, both kinds of news is vital for a society like positive news give them enthusiasm and knowledge, on the other hand, negative news aware them of mishappenings or current problems. If one of such kind is overly presented or avoided, people can have some problems. For example, in India, these days it is being argued that there is a lot of violence in the news so people are getting violent.

In the end, it is undeniable that the number of bad news has increased on television and these are mainly telecasted in order to get TRP. I restate my opinion that a balance between positive and negative news must be maintained at any cost as both are important.
